Privacy notice

Short version: this site sets no cookies. If you join the waiting list we keep your email address. That is all.

What we collect

Only your email address, and only if you type it into the waiting-list form. To stop abuse we also keep a salted hash of your IP address for a day; it cannot be turned back into the address.

Why

To send you devlog posts and, one day, news of a release. Nothing else, and we do not share or sell the address.

Who processes it

We store the list ourselves on Cloudflare (a D1 database; EU data is handled under Cloudflare's data processing agreement). Emails are sent through Resend, which acts as our processor. Resend is based in the US and transfers data under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How you are added: double opt-in

After you submit the form we send one confirmation email. You are only on the list once you click the link in it. If you never click, you are never added.

Unsubscribing

Every email has an unsubscribe link that works in one click. You can also write to hello@lowlandersgame.com and ask us to delete your address.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe. Then it is removed from the active list.

Analytics

If analytics are switched on, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies and does not track you across sites. It counts page views in aggregate.

Cookies and fonts

This site sets no cookies. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.

YouTube

Some devlog posts have a video. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you click the play button, and then it is loaded from the privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com. YouTube's own privacy policy applies from that point.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and you can complain to the Dutch data-protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Contact: hello@lowlandersgame.com.
